Wesley and Emily’s day was one for the books! It was a wonderful destination wedding as family and friends gathered to see them get married at St. Joseph Chapel at Spring Hill College where they met. The details were stunning, the church was breathtaking, and the beauty of two becoming one was priceless. Every aspect of the day was so planned and thought out. Emily had the largest smile on her face every time she showed someone a peak at her hot pink shoes that she would wear to walk down the aisle.
This day was surrounded by so much love. These two were a picture of what Love is. Their love for God and Love for each other shined loud in every word that was spoken about them by their friends and family. The setting was the Grand Hotel in Fairhope for getting ready and reception. The ceremony took place at the lovely St. Francis at The Point.
Where do I even begin about Steve and Michelle's perfect day? I guess I can start with how all of details can really make a day special. Steve and Michelle had so many amazing little details woven throughout their wedding. The details started with their hand illustrated save the dates, and Lulu information cards by the incredible Scotti Cline Designs . Lulu (their incredibly cute dog) made her way throughout many details of the wedding including decorative pillows at the reception and drink stir sticks for cocktails.
Planning a wedding truly is so much fun. I remember finally choosing our date and when I would tell people or hear it out loud, it would just sound so beautiful, like the most perfect wedding date ever. Looking back at that it sounds really silly but it was true! October 2nd in my mind is still the most perfect day. The day I married my best friend and the day that changed my life forever. Every little detail was bringing us closer to that day and when it was finally here it felt like a dream. I remember going to bed the night before my wedding day with an overwhelming peace and waking up with that same peace.
Travis and Anna's Day was absolutely stunning. It was held at one of my new favorite venues The Destin Bay House . It is an incredible setting for a sweet and stunning outdoor wedding. Tucked under the oak trees dripping in Spanish moss
I have had some really amazing and fun couples in the past but I will have to rate Ryan and Chrissy as a 10 in the fun department and their wedding party the same. This day was filled with such joy, laughter, and celebration. One of my favorite things on wedding day is meeting the people that my couples have asked to be with them throughout their most important day. I love to hear why and how each of them met and I love to hear the stories of the years they have been by each others sides.
Stephen and Shelby are an amazingly fun couple and besides their wedding day being stunning it was super fun! From the moment I walked into the hotel room with the girls I knew the day was going to be filled with laughter and friendship.
I have amazing clients, and I am so honored and love every single one of my couples. But I always take a little extra pleasure in capturing girls that I have know since they were kids. I have known Kendal for at least 15 years now if not longer and I am so honored to capture her and Joe Ethan's day. Todd and I had the privilege of being Kendal's youth pastor her last year of high school and then great pleasure in watching her walk out God's call upon her life.
first met David and Kira at their engagement session and we hit it off instantly. They are such a sweet and sincere couple who have such a passion and love for each other. It is almost as if no one else exists when they are looking at each other. Their wedding day was one made of dreams. It took place at the amazing new venue in Baldwin County called Bella Sera Gardens.
Ryan and Chrissy are such a fun couple and I can’t wait until their September backyard wedding. When these two came to my office I just fell in love with their sense of humor and their love and connection with each other. We had so much fun the day of their engagement shoot starting at the location of their ceremony with their two amazing dogs.
I just have to say that bridal sessions are not always my favorite thing to do. Mostly because I am way better at making two people connect with each other than I am at connecting with one person and bringing that out in my lens. I always get a little nervous before bridal sessions for that reason. What if I can't connect with my bride?
I had so much fun going to the farm to hang out with Channing and Lauren several weeks ago for their engagement session. Lauren wanted to incorporate her animals into the shoot and then have some fun with just her and her man. It was an adventure getting every animal on the same page but we did and it was amazing.
Jason and Kristy has such an amazing day. They are from Canada and came all the way to the beautiful shores of the Gulf Coast to become one. Their friends and family that traveled from far off places to celebrate the two of them becoming one made the day unforgettable. There was so much love and laughter surrounding these two that it made my job easy!
Last week I went on a trip that I have been dreaming about for a long time. I have always loved movies and shows that took place in NYC. One of my best friends moved there several years ago and we have always talked about me coming to visit. When Michelle and I first started chatting about me possibly capturing their wedding day an engagement session in NYC (she lived there) was totally on the table. When she chose me I instantly called my friend and told her I was finally going to be able to plan my trip to the city!
Last weekend my business had the honor of capturing two weddings. This wedding is Devin and Kristie's wedding and it was captured perfectly by my associate Chelsea. Their day was a classic and elegant backyard wedding. Kristie wore a stunning and elegant strapless dress and Devin looked handsome in his white dinner jacket.
Josh and Alissa had a perfect wedding day at The Swift Cole historic Home. Their day was filled with love, friendship, and family. Josh and Alissa have been together for 8 years so most everyone just kept saying "it is about time" as the celebrated the couple becoming one.
Travis and Anna have been together for about 6 years and are planning a November wedding. Anna said she wanted her engagement session to be relaxed and natural and I would say it ended up being just that. We started at the beautiful Swift Cole Historic Home
I had so much fun traveling to the hunting camp to capture these two cuties! Ginny wanted to take photos somewhere that meant something to the both of them, plus it had a really cool old Cotton mill to use as a backdrop
Trent and Emily kicked of their big day by spending their time with those friends closest to them. The guys hung out and had a good time while the girls primped and sipped champagne and laughed the morning away. Emily's mom helped her into her dress so she could do a sweet first look with her girls.
Dawson and Shelby...oh my what can I say about these two! They are just the sweetest, that is it, just the sweetest. And their day was just the sweetest from the prayer Dawson prayed over his soon to be bride before their ceremony (without peeking I might add) to the amazing macaroons made by the bride herself. So many of their friends and family came together to make this DIY wedding an amazingly sweet success.
I first met Derek and Liz this past summer when Derek called and asked if I would capture him proposing to Liz in one of the most special places to her, the beach. It was the sweetest thing ever and Liz was so surprised!
This Heron Pointe wedding at The Warf was so fabulous. Trey and Alex were absolutely stunning with their classic yet trendy style. Alex chose a stunning dress from Bella's Bridal and her stunning maids wore a mix of neutral Show Me Your Mumu dresses. This February wedding day was picture perfect.
The first time I met Alissa she came to my office and told me all about her and Josh. I remember thinking "I sure hope she picks me to capture her day!" Not only did I love her personality, her venue, her energy, but I loved her story! One of the things I get to do as a photographer on wedding day is help tell a story. It is one of my favorite parts of my job, getting to know my couples so that I can help tell a story!
I can not even begin to describe how excited I am to share my new website with all of you! The past two years of my business I transitioned from shooting a little of everything to focusing on weddings. I have had some incredible clients, captured amazing love stories, and grown in my style and art! It has been an amazing time as I have traveled on this journey. I am so thankful for all of you who have taken this ride with me.
